Rugby Union in Australia
Bring your school team to Australia where the winter months welcome a very high standard and competitive level of rugby union. Although the sport is played throughout the nation, there is specific enthusiasm in New South Wales and Queensland.
Both NSW and Queensland are beautiful states and have much on offer for all groups. In and around Sydney is simply beautiful! Having taken the ferry across from Manly into Circular Quay, just take a moment to get the camera out and capture the Opera House with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background. If you’re looking for somewhere you can go and just switch off after a tough fixture or training session then Bondi Beach is perfect. This beach has no pressure to do anything - just relax, take a dip in the sea and enjoy. Although there is an abundance of attractions in Sydney, a visit to the city wouldn’t be complete without rooting for AFL team, Sydney Swans at their home ground, Sydney Cricket Ground.
From the hustle and bustle city life of Sydney to the more tropical northern part of the country, Queensland radiates wildlife and adventure. Take a trip out to sea from Hervey Bay to witness the Humpback Whales in their natural habitat-until you see them, you’ll never quite gauge how enormous these animals are. Visit legendary croc hunter, Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo, where you can experience a cuddle from a Koala, the feeling of a snake around your neck and the opportunity to hold a baby crocodile.
Get in touch with your adventurous side and try something new. Australia has all this to offer and is just waiting to be explored.
