Jamboree Denmark 2017

Jamboree Denmark 2017 will be the largest jamboree in Denmark, where 40,000 participants including 6,000 international scouts and guides will meet in the scenic surroundings of Sønderborg from July 22nd to July 30th 2017.

Jamboree Denmark 2017 is planned and hosted by the five Danish guide and scout associations – KFUM Scouts in Denmark, Green Girl Guides of Denmark, the Danish Guide and Scout Association, Danish Baptist Guide and Scout Association and The Danish Scouts of Southern Schleswig.

The vision of the Jamboree is ‘we leave impressions’. Through the entire planning of the Jamboree, they will focus on developing a camp, where the participants leave impressions within themselves, upon each other and in their surroundings. During the Jamboree, there will be activities offered for participants of all ages – the target group for Jamboree Denmark is the age group 10-17, who can participate with their local group or part of a national contingent.

The participation fee for the jamboree is €290. This includes activities and food on the jamboree, as well as transportation between a nearby airport and the campsite. The closest airports are Billund (BLL) and Copenhagen (CPH) in Denmark and Hamburg (HAM) in Germany.

Working with Travel Places certainly enhanced the experience we had. The staff were helpful and acted in a timely way to any query we had. Whether it was before our departure when they arranged wheelchairs at all of the airports for us, or on our departure from Tokyo when they helped with our overflowing luggage, their help was invaluable.
