After the great success of the Northern Ireland Jamboree in 2013, NIjam 2017 will take place in Crawfordsburn Scout Centre, just 11 miles outside of Belfast, from Saturday 29th July to Saturday 5th August 2017. This camp promises to be a fun-filled event to offer both Scouts and Explorer Scouts an opportunity to make new friends, gain new experiences and learn new skills. This event is set to cater for 1000 plus Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Leaders.
The camp will have a full range of activities, from water based to climbing, along with day trips to local areas. They hope to give the Scouts a truly international experience and will welcome any international groups to visit with them. They are looking to accommodate any groups needing to bring camping kit from overseas by partnering them with a local Northern Ireland Scout group. There will be evening activities for both Scouts and Leaders with lots to do and new friends to meet. The theme for the Camp is 'Skills for Life, Friends for Life'.
There will be five ’Daytime Zones’ for you and your group to take part in. Each zone will operate slightly differently depending on what the Zone is offering. Some Zones will be freestyle where you'll have the opportunity to try whatever you like. Others will be more organised and you will be split up into smaller teams to work your way around bases.
