Introducing our Elite Football Training Camp

21/02/19 | Inside Travel Places, Schools, Sports, News

Our very first touring group of 2019 was a football camp to the impressive St George’s Park training centre in Burton upon Trent – home to England’s 28 national teams.

The onsite Hilton Hotel offers superb accommodation and hospitality options including a gym, indoor pool, spa, conference facilities and dining options. The hotel decor has an inspiring footballing atmosphere created by a vast collection of footballing memorabilia on display in the communal areas and each of the 228 bedrooms, including 43 executive rooms and 11 suites. The facilities are nestled perfectly within 330 acres of serene National Forest parkland.

Groups are welcomed with an informative tour of the complex, changing rooms, training rooms, hydro-therapy pools and various pitches. During the tour your group will discover what life is like as an elite England player and how they prepare ahead of a fixture or major tournament. Coaching sessions are run by full time qualified SGP coaches and bespoke sessions are discussed prior to your arrival to ensure that they are focused on what you feel your players need. These sessions are not based totally around on-pitch skills, but also the mind set and attitude required to work together and succeed as a team.

What really sets these tours apart from other football training camps and academies that we have experienced is that your players will truly experience first hand exactly what England players experience – the same changing rooms, the same training pitches, the same accommodation, nutrition and so on.

A St George’s Park training camp is certain to provide a memorable experience for your players, long into their football playing careers.
