15th World Scout Moot Iceland (2017)

Icelandic Scouts and Guides made Scout history when they formed the first joint association of Scouts and Guides in the world in 1944.



  • 670 Scouts, Guides & IST from the UK
  • Airline used = Icelandair
  • UK Contingent Event (24th – 25th July & 2nd – 3rd August)



Accommodation used = Local Schools

Travel Places organised events included:

  • ‘Change’ walk in Reykjavik Botanical Gardens
  • Function at Harpa
  • Golden Circle Tour with a BBQ lunch at a dairy farm
  • Horse Riding
  • Cave Exploring
  • Whale Watching
  • Blue Lagoon Thermal Spa
  • Function at Perlan
