Season’s greetings from the Travel Places team

A message from our Managing Directors

As we get ready to draw 2023 to a close, on behalf of the Travel Places team, we would like to wish our customers, suppliers and partners a very merry Christmas and a happy, successful new year.

It has been another extraordinary year for us at Travel Places. One that has seen us support a packed sports and entertainment calendar – with a record-breaking 23 races for F1, sixteen races for FE, the Women’s Football World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, ten races for Sail GP, and a Cricket World Cup in India being just some of the sporting events that we’ve had the privilege to work on. We’ve also supported tight performance schedules for a number of world class music artists this year, including their appearances at Glastonbury, and worked on the historic Scouts Jamboree that saw us move over 4,500 young people and adults in South Korea.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing customers for entrusting us with their events and travel requirements this year, and to recognise the suppliers and partners we work with across the globe who have supported us to manage our clients’ requirements for each event.

Travel is never without its challenges, but our team have shown commitment, flexibility, and tenacity to tackle these as always. We are incredibly proud of how they have embraced the opportunities that have come our way this year – whether that is through onsite client support, developing our technology capabilities, or identifying ways to increase our positive impact. With an additional 22 new people joining our team this year, and the launch of our academy training programme, we are ensuring we can continue to embrace these opportunities, and the growth of our business whilst retaining the personal service that we know is so important to our clients.

In April, we built on our sustainability credentials by successfully achieving B Corp certification – a personal highlight of the year for us. It was the culmination of a huge amount of work to cement what has been at the heart of our family business from day one – to balance profit and purpose. We recognise that many of our clients share these values, and our certification gives you full confidence that you are working with a responsible supplier, and one that is committed to supporting your own efforts to increase your positive impact.

Looking ahead, sustainability will remain at the centre of our business strategy, and we have ambitions to go even further for people and planet, whilst helping our clients to do the same. We are working to understand where we can further support our clients and partners to achieve their own sustainability goals and we look forward to working with you more on that next year.

We have many other exciting developments for our business in the year ahead and we look forward to sharing these with you. As always, if you have any feedback or questions about the services we offer and how we work with your business, please do get in touch.

And finally, thank you to all of those who have supported our efforts to give back this year. Our staff have worked hard to do their bit in the community this year, through volunteering, donations and sporting challenges and we are very grateful to have been supported in these efforts – working together to be a force for good.
