British Airways On Business – 2026 changes
On Business is British Airways’ global loyalty programme designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). It helps companies maximise their travel budgets by rewarding them every time their employees fly.
As a member, your company can:
- Earn On Business Points to redeem for reward flights or cabin upgrades
- Access exclusive member-only discounts
- Enjoy a vast network of destinations across British Airways, American Airlines, Iberia, and Japan Airlines
With On Business, you get flexibility, savings, and rewards, all in one programme tailored for business travel. British Airways has been working on making the programme simpler, more rewarding, and better aligned with the way your company books travel.
What’s changing from 1 January 2026?
British Airways is improving On Business to focus on what delivers the greatest value: On Business Points. Here’s what you need to know:
Expanded opportunities to earn points
From January, a wider range of fares will qualify for On Business Points, meaning faster earning potential for all Members.
- Points will be earned on all fares except reward flights, industry or agency discounted tickets, and flight + car/hotel package bookings.
- Always include the On Business number on each booking to ensure points are credited.
Currently, UK members can choose between an upfront discount and earning points. As most members prefer points, British Airways will retire the discount option and make points the exclusive reward. This simplifies the booking process and ensures consistency across all channels.
How this update will affect you
- More fare-earning points – it will be easier to advise your travellers and maximise their benefits.
- Points will still be redeemable for reward flights and upgrades, delivering strong value for your team.
