The Challenge

As well as controlling the bed bank for the majority of teams, sponsors, media and spectators we also ran the first ever America’s Cup Spectator programme, a number of corporate programmes and fully supported the event on the ground with our own staff.
The event took place over 32 nights and involved multiple waves of groups coming in and out of the island. Some of those groups were spectators and corporate, but we also looked after a number of the support race crews, the J Class boats and Superyacht programmes. They all needed us to help find rooms for their teams at some point through the event.

Our Approach

Due to the lack of accommodation on the island we had to get inventive and were proud that we managed to re-open and re-fit both a derelict hotel and a derelict apartment block which ensured major savings for the event authority who had run out of options for places to host their staff, the race officials and some of the production crew.

The result

Whilst it was a gruelling event to work on, the multitude of challenges and projects meant it was also extremely exciting and our team were very proud to deliver such a successful campaign and enjoy some experiences we will always remember!
