Travel Places celebrates staff in 2022 awards
Last week we held our 2022 staff awards as part of our Christmas celebrations. These annual awards honour the hard work and commitment from the Travel Places team to deliver for our customers, to help assist and develop their colleagues, and to support our work in the community.
We are always incredibly proud of the Travel Places team, but we are particularly impressed with how they have all risen to the challenges of the last two years. With 2022 being a hugely busy year for us, commitment, expertise and team spirit has never been more important. This year’s awards show our team have displayed all of these in abundance.

Winner: Katie Penswick
This award is presented to the person who is always working hard to ensure things run smoothly, playing a major role in the success of events and always offering to help colleagues.
Katie’s flights expertise is second to none, having worked in the travel industry for many years. No matter how busy she is, Katie is always willing to use these skills to help her colleagues, offering support and working exceptionally hard to achieve the best results for our clients.
Above and Beyond
Winner: Sienna Chandler
Awarded to the person who provides a level of customer service that continuously goes over and above what is expected of them.
Sienna’s nominations highlighted her exceptional customer service skills and she was congratulated for her calm and friendly helpful manner with all of our clients, as well as with her colleagues.
Team Impact
Winner: Jenny Griffin
Awarded to the person who is all about the team, great at motivating others and keeping morale high, taking time to congratulate others on their achievements.
Jenny was awarded this year’s team impact award for the support she gives to those in her team, as well as others around the business. Always helpful, checking on others and offering praise to recognise others achievements.
Sandra Darlow Award
Winner: Matt Parkhouse
Our work in the community is vital for us. Our Sandra Darlow award is awarded to the person who shows personal character in the business, supports our work in the community.
Organising an array of morale boosting staff raffles and charity collections, Matt was a worthy winner of this year’s Sandra Darlow award, which recognised his efforts to contribute to our team culture and to support charities and the communities around us.
