Professional sports and media travel specialist announces expansion into the music and entertainment sector building on 45 years’ experience working with the world’s most high-profile teams, across the world’s largest events.

Travel Places, known for their leading professional sports and media travel services, have today announced the launch of their new Music and Entertainment division, headed up by industry specialist, Ross Lambert.

Building on over 45 years’ experience working across some of the worlds most high-profile teams and athletes across events such as Formula One™, Olympic and Paralympic Games and The FA, Travel Places launches this complementary division to support touring artists, their support teams and TV and production crews.

‘The skillset and processes we have perfected over the last 45 years allow us to understand the intricacies of complex group movements, and are well suited to the complexities of the music and entertainment sector.’ Explains Travel Places Managing Director, Matt Warren. ‘Touring movements involve hectic multi-date and multi-venue schedules alongside high-profile individuals and event logistics, all of which we are highly experienced dealing with, so building out into this area feels like a natural progression for us. Combining this with our focus on offering sustainable travel solutions that balance the needs of today against those of future generations, it feels that we could bring a strong offering to the industry when bands and artists are very much focused on reducing their environmental impact.’

Ross Lambert, who joins Travel Places as Music Operations Manager, comes from a wealth of experience in the music industry, including working at TAG Group, during which time he worked with some of the biggest artists in world music. ‘Travel Places’ internal process, skillset and structure are perfectly placed to serve bands, artists, performers and crew’, says Lambert. ‘They understand the need to deliver on price without compromising on service and deliver a bespoke solution that suits the nuances of each touring group. I’ve been able to hit the ground running and look forward to a busy year as live music continues to open up again.’
