Introducing Our Director of Technology

As Travel Places continues to evolve, we are sharpening our focus on how technology powers both our clients and our teams with the appointment of Andrew Tait as Director of Technology.

This newly created role marks an important milestone in our growth, building on strong foundations while accelerating how we operate in an increasingly complex, fast-moving environment.

Andrew joins with extensive experience leading technology functions across a range of organisations, most recently working across multiple regions within a large international business. He has built his career on making technology work where it matters most, driving day-to-day performance, improving visibility and enabling long-term, sustainable growth.

His appointment comes at a time when technology is central to delivering seamless travel experiences across sports, media and entertainment.

“What attracted me to this role was the opportunity to work more closely with the business itself,” Andrew explains. “To help shape how technology supports both the client experience and internal operations.”

This is a pivotal moment for Travel Places. We are investing heavily in our technology, and Andrew will play a key role in driving this forward, ensuring our systems are efficient and fully aligned with how we operate.

A major focus is the evolution of our client-facing platforms. Our ambition is clear: to deliver a seamless, market-leading solution that genuinely transforms how our clients work. At the same time, rapid advances in AI and data are unlocking new ways to improve visibility, streamline processes and support decision-making.

“The most valuable technology isn’t always the most visible,” Andrew says. “It’s what removes friction, improves clarity and helps people work more effectively. The focus is very much on using technology where it adds genuine value, rather than introducing complexity for its own sake.”

Alongside his professional experience, Andrew brings a genuine passion for live events. Music has long been a personal interest, with seeing Stevie Wonder perform a standout moment, while a Formula One race weekend remains high on his sporting wish list.

Andrew’s appointment marks an exciting step forward as we continue to invest in the future of Travel Places, evolving our technology, strengthening our service, and raising the bar for the experience we deliver to our clients.
