Travel Places joins the Ocean Network
We are delighted to have joined the Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) Ocean Network platform, demonstrating our commitment to the protection of our environment.
SAS is a UK-based marine conservation charity that works with communities to protect oceans, waves, beaches, and marine life along its coastlines. The charity’s Ocean Network is a national movement that has over 300 members – businesses that are active within their communities, committed to fighting plastic pollution, pushing government for change, and inspiring the next generation to protect the ocean.
We encourage and support our staff to take part in community events and volunteering and were invited to join the Ocean Network following our beach clean along the coast in Worthing last September. Through our membership, we can show our support for the work done by Surfers Against Sewage and the action it is taking to protect our wonderful coastline in the UK.
Our Impact
At the heart of Travel Places is our purpose for people and planet – reducing our impact on the world, and supporting our community of staff, local suppliers and charities. By continually improving our performance in this area, we aim to meet the travel needs of our clients without compromising those of future generations.
Our 2002 Impact Report summarises the culmination of our sustainability efforts throughout 2022, telling the story of how we’re stepping up and taking responsibility, how we’re looking for alternatives to the ways we operate, and how we’re always striving to be better. It celebrates our fantastic staff, our valued clients and our suppliers – all of whom have made this progress possible. And it highlights where we’re going next.
